Tustin, CA based transcription Services Company; GMR Transcription, announced the launch of their affordable “Conference Call Transcription Services” on Friday, October 26, 2007.

 
Ms. Joyce Warran, Transcription Supervisor/Business Development Manager of GMR Transcription, explained the process as follows.

The client would be responsible for recording the conference call in 15-minute segments. Each of multiple typists would be assigned one segment for transcription according to the client’s instructions and using either their formatting or ours (to be agreed upon between the client and Ms. Warran in advance).

The audios would typically be uploaded to GMR Transcription’s server and retrieved from same. Alternatively, GMR Transcription could retrieve the audios from the client’s server. Once each segment is completed, it would either be emailed to the client or uploaded to their server. It would be the responsibility of the client to then join the segments to make for one conference-call transcript.

This entire process could be completed in a timeframe of only three hours.

GMR Transcription would need at least a 24-hour notice for preparation of the conference call. An agenda from the client would be necessary, including the names of anyone participating in the call and any company names. Of course, anyone calling in to the conference call without prior knowledge would simply be named “Caller.”
